WHO'S BOOTS ARE BY MY FRONT DOOR...
i must say the kids have kept me grounded the past few days! the things they are involved in, the things they say, and the things they do!
my oldest is involved in football and the ROTC program! i've loved watching him play and be involved in football! now the other has been really hard for me to get used to! he has a true love for history and everything to do with the past wars! he's like a little encyclopedia. he knows anything you'd ever want to know. he's in his 2nd year of the program and gets to wear his BDU's. he was just waiting on the boots. it caught me off guard when i came home and saw them sitting by my front door, yep size 13!
i just love it when kids have an idea what "they want to be when they grow up" it makes me smile! for the past several years kams dream has been to be a pro football player! well over the past few years he's added to this. he says that if he can't be in the NFL then he wants to be an MP and then go to school to train to be a sharp shooter. WHAT????? just what a mom wants to hear. i've finally gotten to the point that he's still young and that who knows what will happen. i just want to support him in what he does!
on the girly front... aliya has been chatting away about "selling stuff" and having "her own store". yesterday she mentioned that she would sell stuff she made, animals, and food. yep she's going to have her own mall :) then she decided that she wants to play v-ball like kels and be a cheerleader. she says, "i will do this when the store is closed" wow she's got it all planned out! well kels on the other hand has wanted to be a marine biologist since she was 5. she's still going with that idea, or playing v-ball.
yesterday she had me laughing though. we have the nifty sun visors in the car that have the smaller one under the large ones. ya know so you can move one to the side on your door window and the other to pull down in front. (make any sense at all???) well she said she thought the small one was for holding papers! that's what you use yours for right???
i must say after all the driving, fighting, crying, whining, laughing, teasing, joking, poking, tattling, consoling, listening, refereeing, and any other task that comes with being a mom--- at the end of the day you know it's ALL worth it! the good, the bad, and everything in between!
