yeah can you believe it's friday?! I'm so happy that the weekend is here for so many reasons! first of all it's the weekend! next kam comes home tonight from a week in cali with football camp. it's funny how you miss them differently when they are out of state :) or maybe that's just me. plus i get to do some shopping in the morning and share lunch with some friends for a birthday celebration! happy birthday sue! i know it was yesterday, but hope it was a good one!
so stuff right now is pretty simple. aliya enjoying the luxury of gogurts! have you ever had one of those? I don't care for them, but my kids love them. they love them even more if i keep them stocked in the freezer! in fact that's the only way aliya will eat them!
another thing i finished up is my tag for the summer tag swap that sherryhosted. for some reason this one was hard for me to come up with an idea. i was trying to stay away from the common things like the beach or things like that. not that i don't like the beach i just like being different :) so i finally came up with an idea to do a travel type theme. when i was younger that's when we would take vacations was during the summer. it was always a road trip though. let me tell you the memories i have of traveling in a car with my younger brother! :) probably shouldn't share too many of them. of course we all know the famous question of "are we there yet?" well i guess from what my mom said we used to fight over each other looking out "our" window. kind of funny. traveling when i was young was so much different then it is today. i can still remember sleeping up in the back window or laying down and not wearing seat belts. did we even have them in the cars? things sure have changed from riding in the green paneled station wagon to what we take on our summer trips now! fun to have those memories!
i used some fun vintage map paper that i had and label from a hotel that i found. of course i had to stamp those sayings on there that think of when traveling. i did do some stitching on these, but don't think you can see it very well. once i finally got going on this it was actually fun to do.
