Just wanted to pop in quickly to share a page that I did in one of the Jane Austen journals. I really enjoyed the time I had creating this. Also found this quote that goes with my word "hope" Enjoy your day!
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."
Yes I am still here. It seems like forever since I have posted on my blog. Probably because it has been awhile.
I just got done reading through my last post and realized that in it I had mentioned that, that past week had been a hard one and I was hoping things were going to be headed in a better direction. Well let's just say . Looking back I can see that things just continued to go down hill and it felt like there was no catching up. Almost like a snowball rolling down a hill getting larger as it goes and getting bigger and bigger by the second until it comes into contact with something at the bottom!
Yes there were still many good things and positive things going on, but that large snowball was blocking my view from seeing any of them!
Things are much better now! It's like the snowball has broken into pieces and I'm working on getting rid of them a little at a time. I also mentioned in that post that I knew it was important to be more caring of myself. Let's just say that isn't the easiest thing for me to do. I'm working on it though and I strongly feel that as I continue to do this and get better at it other things in my life will also be easier and better.
With all of these things that were going on I kind of was forced to take a step back from things for a bit. That is so hard for me to do. I love being creative and making things and working with others on that same level. I know many of you may have noticed this with my DT and my Etsy shop. I have gotten so many comments and emails that have made me feel wonderful and understood. I really appreciate them all. It is those small gestures that can really get you through some of those hard or down moments. Puts a smile on your face and a wonderful feeling in your heart. I feel so blessed to have come across so many wonderful people in blogging and working!
Just this past week or so I've finally gotten to the point where things are starting to feel more balanced again. So I took some time to add a new angel to my Etsy shop. Her name is Abigail.
She is so cute, especially when you see what Melissa has done with her! I just adore her style and love what she comes up with!
Melissa has also used a Spring Set that I had from last year. It's a cute little branch with a mini bird to sit on top. I love seeing the wood turned into something so cute like this!
This little set is something that I will be adding to my Etsy shop over the next few days so be on the look out for it. I've also been asked about a few other shapes and will be adding those as well.
When you check Melissa's blog take time and check out her photo inspiration that she's doing. This card was made based on a photo that she posted and used the colors as inspiration. I love these colors! What a fun way to take some time for ourselves and to create!
I will be back soon to share some pages I worked on for a round robin that I'm in. Creating for me or just one of a kind pieces has been so wonderful for me and lets me enjoy that wonderful process that comes with it! Have a good night and remember to take some time for yourself!
