Life is always at some turning point.

Lots of the above has been happening in our family lately! Most of it good, some it not so fun, and some of it necessary, but just hard. Change is just a given in everyones lives.
Over the past few months as the changes came upon us and happened I learned to try and enjoy the small things and live in the moment. Not an easy thing for me to do. I've also realized yet again how grateful I am for my family and how much I love them!
My oldest has been part of some of the changes. He graduated this year from High School. I just can't believe how fast the time has come and gone. He has grown to be a wonderful young man. We are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished!
With school ending comes many functions and festivities to attend. Kam was in ROTC for all 4 years of HS. Of course he loved it! As a mom it's a bit harder to except that this is the area he wants to go into, but he loves it and it makes him happy. He received many awards this evening. We are so proud of him and all his hard work.
Recently Kam finished up his Eagle project and it was made official this past week. He is an Eagle Scout! He put together a group to plant trees at a local school. He did such a good job pulling it all together. I'm so grateful for all the family and friends that have supported him over the years and helped him to become who he is! It's going to be hard come Aug as he goes away to school for a year.
Of course this one always has something going on! :) It's a family joke around here that if it's uncommon then it happens to her. She recently hurt her knee during dance and has it in a brace. She is getting ready to do several weeks of physical therapy for it. She's going crazy not dancing!
One of the harder changes for me though was having my sister and her family move to GA. We love to get together as a family as time allows and it has been hard with my other sister out of state, but this will make it even harder around those special times and holidays.
I was able to spend some time with them one morning taking some photos before they left. It was so much fun seeing all their personalities come thru and just to be with them!
I know this post is a lengthy one, but I thought I would just share a few of may faves from that day.
They have only been gone a week and we miss them so much, but know they are where they are supposed to be.

Readjusting is a painful process, but most of us need it at one time or another.

We were able to see them off and spend a bit of time with each other laughing, crying and just enjoying the time. We are already trying to plan a trip out to see them. Not sure when, but hopefully soon!
A few months ago I was feeling like things were shifting a bit for me personally, with my business and my creative side. I wanted a bit of a change, but wasn't sure how or where it would come. Since then I've been able to figure a few things out and implement some of those changes. It has taken more time then I had planned, but family is always first on my list. I'm excited and nervous about these changes. Nothing too major just a bit different. I'm hoping to share them with you very soon!
I'm hoping to get back into a normal routine (whatever normal is) with my blogging and sharing things from my creative stuff along with just life. I hope you will check back often. Until then...
