Okay so this is the end of ICAD for this year! Just wanted to share some group shots and some fun facts to wrap it all up!
Through out the challenge I kept 2 different areas I could work at depending on how much time I had and what kind of mood I was in. In one are was a stack of cards and my markers. They were quick and easy to go to, but I was able to come up with some fun designs as well. I had fun layering different colors and trying different things with markers that I wouldn't normally do. So out of 63 cards 17 of them are just markers!
My other area that I created in is where I do most of my creating and other projects. It's where I have all my other supplies. This is where I can spread out and get messy! So 18 of the 63 cards are done in acrylics. When I looked at that I was kind of surprised that it wasn't more, but I realized there were other supplies I used instead!
Some days I just took enough time to grab a black sharpie and play! Out of 63 cards 7 are black and white only!
This is a photo of them all together in random order. They were fun to look at all at once in one spot! As I went through them I found out a few more things. Only 4 of them have machine stitching on them. I love the added texture that stitching brings to things. This is something I want to do more with in the future. 47 of the cards have some form of circle on them. If I were to count the tiny dots in my doodles the number would be higher. I'm not sure what it is about circles, but I do love them! 34 of the cards have a quote or words on them. My favorite find was about my black sharpie. For some reason I just love to add little lines or doodles with my sharpie. Things just feel incomplete when I didn't have it on the card. I did however hold back on a few cards. I found that 11 of my cards didn't have the use of a sharpie on them!
No matter what I was creating with I enjoyed the process! Creating just to create can bring so much to your work and your life! I'm so glad I took the time to go along for the ride! Looking forward to next year! In the meantime there are plenty of other challenges or prompts to keep me busy!
