it's sad to say that i've had this idea of cutting my shapes out of game boards for at least a year now.  the happy thing is that i've finally taken the time to run with it!  I'm so excited about this and think it will bring you some fun and unique pieces to your mini books or altered art work.  the first 2 houses are actually mini albums.  the 3rd is one piece and can be used as the base to a collage or an addition to any other fun project!  These pieces can be found at my etsy shop right now!  of course as add new items i will let you know that as well.  I haven't been able to upload the "love is in the air" yet.  still working away!

"Love is in the Air"

Come join me next Tuesday at Devine Memories.  I will be teaching a fun class.  This is a new addition to my wood cut outs.  We will be altering the word "Love".  This makes a fun home decor piece for any home or for a nice gift!  You will be able to choose papers to match your decor!  Come join the fun!  Cost for class is only $25.

so i just finished up with a boutique this weekend at devine memories!  had to say thanks so much for everyone that stopped into check things out and to those of you that purchased my items.  A HUGE THANKS!!! it's so fun to see others have ideas for something that i've done.  i chatted with a few of you and LOVED the ideas you were going to do!  so i'm going to be working on a section that i can share your pieces with others!  i think it's always fun to see what others do and take ideas and inspiration from those and put your own twist on it.  plus sometimes it just acts as a spring board for your own ideas.

also want to let you know about a class i have coming up at devine memories! i know i've showed this ornament before.  it's my little winged stocking!  this class is on dec. 15th at 1pm.  hope you local gals come and join us!  for those of you out of state i still have a few left in my etsy shop.

                                       

now for the play time!  last year i did the christmas journal with shimelle. i got about half way through it before i stopped and put it aside.  this year i'm attempting to do it again and hope to finish it!  i also decided to join the super talented teresa in her 12 days ezine!  if you've ever been lucky enough to take a class from her you know how much you learn and how awesome she is! well can i just say that it's the same online!!!  so after a busy week i wanted to take sometime to play today and wasn't sure which one to work on first.  so i took inspiration from teresa's mini class today for my first journal page of this year. of course this is yesterday's prompt.  still have to do today's!

so yesterday's prompt is the manifesto of your journal.  this was so much fun to do!  hope you take sometime for yourself during this crazy busy holiday season!

"MEET THE TEACHER"

okay i have a few minutes and wanted to share what is going on over my way!  Devine Memories is having there yearly meet the teacher class!  Last year we had soooo much fun and met tons of wonderful ladies!  I'm really looking forward to it again!  If you are local to Az you don't want to miss this one!  We have something fun planned for you!  The event takes place on Saturday, Aug. 25th.  There are going to be 2 sessions so we can get as many people in as we can!  You will be able to meet 4 of the teachers that teach at Devine Memories, Sandy, Michelle, Renee, and myself.  For those of you that have taken classes with us before you may already be familiar with 3 of us.  Devine Memories recently got a new instructor!  She's super sweet, and wonderfully talented.  Okay onto the good parts the cost and the projects!  We thought it would be fun to each take you thru an altered flash card.  Kinda like an ATC, but a little bigger!  You will also have a cute wood base to hang them from!  The best part about it is that it's only going to cost you $8!!!  wow what a deal huh?!?!

so this is the base you will be able to paint and make your own to hang your altered cards from.

okay so this is a peak of what it looks like with my altered card on the stand!  if you know me you know i love mini albums.  i like to attatch them to pretty much anything.  so of course this little card has a mini album attatched to it!  it closes with a cute flower that is attatched to a paper clip to keept the album closed! This little flower is inspried by a super talented lady that has taught at DM before.  Hopefully Kim Kwan will be back again this year! I've added a little bit of things to it with some water colors and stamps.  you will aslo be using some of my vintage papers from my missalayneeah stash! 

Michelle has a photo of hers on her blog!  you'll love it!  she came up with a bird pattern that i made into a wood pattern!  lots of glitter and funky stuff!  I haven't seen Renee's or Sandy's yet, but I know they will be super cute!  so if you've got some time come join us for this fun class and get to know us!  we'd love to meet and get to know you!

USA BANNER CLASS!

This is a fun new class that I recently designed.  The base of the project is made from wood.  I've also used some fun vintage finds that I have.  Diamond dust, silver embossing powder, silver glass glitter and fun trims were also added to this fun banner!  You can see a few more photos in the album on the side bar.  Come join me as I teach this class at Devine Memories.  The class is scheduled for June 30th.  It's from 10-1!  Call and sign up, class space is filling up quick!  If you aren't local check back.  I'm trying to pull together some extra kits to sell on my Missalayneeah blog.  I will for sure have kits with the wood only!

talking colors.

so michelle and i are putting together a new class called "scavenger hunt".  i went shopping for it last week.  our thoughts were to focus on "blue"  ya well didn't happen.  the blue wasn't speakin to me!  i tried really hard to pull some things together, but it just wasn't working.  so dang it why fight it?!?!  so i came across something in green.  wow now it was speaking to me. i know crazy, but it was speaking to me!  i picked up one thing and it turned into a huge snowball effect!  it was a wonderful feeling.  lots of fun things to work with.  so i thought i would share a little snippet of what spoke to me and what will be used in the first upcoming class in june!
