!that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all! well this new typepad format is going to make me say a few things! i had several things up and that wasn't easy getting there and then poof! GONE! okay so we'll try this one again!
so i was saying that one of my favorite things to do is shop at the thrift stores or antique stores looking for that perfect item! either to use in projects, or to add to my home! well i also love to surf ebay or the internet finding those same things! well i went to the mailbox the other night to find it filled with many goodies waiting to be opened! i got another package yesterday morning from ups so aliya and i decided to sit down together and get them all open! i'm not sure who was more excited! aliya opening the packages or me to see the goodies i bought in person. i think she thought i was crazy doing the happy dance with some of the items i got. so i thought i would share with you some of the things that were making me happy! well that is if i can work with typepad :)
so the other night i was having a hard time with some things that were going on and what better way to deal with things then shop! so i went over to etsy to visit one of my favorite stores: simplymeart! if you haven't been to her shop you really need to make a stop over there! just make sure you have money in your pocket book! i can only check out her shop once in awhile, because she's always adding new items and they always seem to what to come home to me!
so i was so excited to open this beautiful box yesterday. of course she didn't disappoint! she also added these wonderful earrings that were made with old Japanese beads! If you have time you can even stop over at jamies blog! i know i will definately go back again!
so the next packages we opened were several different things that i wanted or needed for upcoming classes or for kits on my etsy. my etsy is getting on the low side and needs to be stocked!
these are some of the goodies i was happy to see! aliya thought the rolls of vintage railroad receipts were fun to open. they date back to the early 1900's! i can't wait to use these in a project. then again i just love looking at them and would be content with that for awhile! the vintage english books were fun to open and look at. i loved the insides of the cover. you can see them a bit in the photo. aliya loved looking at some of the pictures that were in the book to.
so the other packages had these little goodies in them. aliya was curious as to what all these keys might open up! of course this is only a small portion of them! i was so happy to stumble across these beauties! now for the vintage bingo boards i thought i had died and gone to heaven. of course aliya had a different opinion. she wasn't really sure what i was so excited about. of course i think it's the wonderful color of blue that had me so happy! my favorite color lately has been anything in blue! well i have enough of these to use in a future project and to add to my etsy store!
well i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this uploads half way decent! not sure what it will look like when i hit publish! in between waiting for photos to upload i've been photographing new trims to add to the store also! hopefully i'll be able to get a few of those uploaded in the next few days! well i'm off to get some wood cut! have a good one!
